Nice picsAndreas! Where did you find them? Do you work with a museum or an embassy that has privileged info on ancient ships from the Colombian Armada?
Taking a close look, they seem to be from a museum.
It's a pleasure to have you here. Your investigations will shed a light on many gaps regarding the old navy vessels. There's no doubt you will find people really interested on the old navy issue in this forum.
Finally, Can you tell us about your research? Why did it begin?, the methodology and although we are actually watching at some findings, can you tell us how you came up to those conclusions if possible?
Thanks once again.
If there is any topic from the forum you're interested in, let us know.
Andreas nos está mostrando y recuperando lo que fue la Armada Colombiana a finales del siglo XIX y comienzos del XX, periodo que incluso varios de nosotros creíamos que Armada no teníamos porque hay muy pocos datos de ese periodo.
I was one of the people that thought our navy was non-existent before the war with Peru, so it's been a blast finding out we actually had warships at the opening of the XX century, even if most were armed merchants that barely lasted a few years in service.
So yeah, thanks a whole bunch for your investigation Mr. von Mach, you're showing us a side of history almost forgotten even by the ARC themselves!

Thanks.
Well, at that time Venezuela was part of "La Gran Colombia", so I think that blockade was against the Spanish Armada .Though Simon Bolivar was really concernedfor the likely separation of Venezuela from the country at that time also.
